Let’s get girlie

How great is my new jewelry frame, designed by Hilary Thomson, creator of Catchframes.

Made from vintage art frames and (mostly) vintage fabric, these babies are THE best (not to mention prettiest) thing I’ve found to have a neat row of untangled jewelry. Perfect for displaying your Nea bling.

A very vintage Christmas

For the Holidays, instead of festive paper or plastic plates, why not try salvageware for some funky table design. Pictured here are the regal Braquenié arrangement and the modernist Eames look, created by yours truly, using treasures found at my local Salvation Army.

Transcontinental Implements paper purchasing policy

MONTREAL, Oct. 19, 2007—Canada’s largest printer implemented a Paper Purchasing Policy that allows consumers to select environmentally friendly papers with maximum post-consumer and de-inked recycled fiber.

Natural born kitchen

Valcucine was founded by four partners in 1980. The company’s core business quickly turned to production for the medium-high target market. In the 1990s, Valcucine’s products started to be appreciated by an ever-increasing public as [...]

Packaging tasty round-up

I’m loving this coffe cup from Waldo Pancake seen at Design*Sponge.

See all their delightfully funny communication pieces here. You gotta love that dry Brit wit.

Fashioning a reusable gift wrap

When Tom from Éthiquette asked me if I had any ideas for a reusable gift wrapping option, I must admit I felt a bit helpless. I had stumbled upon lovely paper wrapping options but I hadn’t pondered about an upcycled, reusable option. So I decided to give it some thought and research and found out [...]
